For those of you who use Nitrox. When planning your dives, on which dives do you prefer Nitrox over Air? For the poll, you can choose more than one answer.

Poll?

I use EAN32 for dives between 40 fsw and 110 fsw ... which is most of my dives ... :D

don't know what happened to the poll section.

For dives below 130' I will use the most appropriate custom mix for the planned depth. Otherwise my standard mixes are 32%, 36%, and 40%, I use these for dives within recreational depths. I try to match the right gas for the planned depth.

What's Air:D

Where I get my tanks filled the cost of 21, 32, 36, and 40 is the same so I stick w/ EANx on all dives. Typically:

40% for 0-80fsw, 36% for 70-100fsw, and 32% for 90-110 fsw. For dives deep than 110 I usually go with a custom EANx mix w/ Helium.

I always dive 32% regardless of depth (without exceeding MOD of course).

I try to match the mix with the depth. But I used to fill at a shop with a membrane system and they could only fill to 36%.

So how "standard" is using four different gases within a depth range of 50ft or so?

LOL

I use air for anything up to around 40-60 ft, depending on duration, 32% on anything from 60-100ft and generally use 21/35 for anything below that. If I'm doing a 110'-120' dive, sometimes I'll use 28% nitrox, but I prefer mix.

For deco, I use 50% from 70ft up.

I typically use EAN 32 on all dives, while observing the MOD.
