Deployed to Djibouti Africa

Just deployed to Djibouti Africa for a year and have the chance to get SCUBA certified. My first class starts next Monday can'nt wait.

I wish I new, but on the bright side I get to learn SCUBA. Where I live in the US is landlocked so the only place to get certified is at a crappy lake. So being in this he** hole is'nt so bad because I get a chance to get certified in the ocean.

Not just the ocean, the Red Sea. I haven't been, but I understand parts of the Red Sea have wonderful diving--enjoy! And stay safe.

Diving the Red Sea off Djibouti is bound to be an amazing adventure of a lifetime! While I can't comment about being deployed there, a dive there would be something divers dream about - even the most jaded and experienced ones.
