Stig Insulan, President (Owner)

SI TECH is probably best known for it's dry suit valves, P-valves, Dry suit gloves... but is now offering an unconventional regulator. Stig stated numerous design criteria, including stable gas supply (under extreme conditions), minimize freezing, increased reliability. So, the S40 has an IP of 5Bar (75 psi), increased the hose diameter, and eliminated/minimized numerous freeze points with their uncommon design. The S40 will be sold as a 1st Stage, 2nd Stage, and 'Octo' bundle. A few Reps said they had the S40 below 90m (300') in the cool waters of Canada & Sweden...

Did you get to breathe one? I would love to hear about it's work of breathing and think that the lower IP (Intermediate Pressure) may just do the trick! Hopefully, we have a user who has actually dove this reg.

BTW, did they have a reason for the name? Does the regulator have a life time warranty?

I would have snapped one of these babies up but Stig wasn't dealing. I spent the second-longest amount of DEMA time there - I didn't realized that Stig owned the company. That is one seriously awesome reg.
The longest though was at the Poseidon booth with the Cis-Lunar VI. They even had a lady named Hell there.

I just got a set of these . Built like a tank . I will be diving them later this week and review them then . Only drawback is that my octo / inflator does not like the low pressure . Still delivers air but not like with a standard first stage .
I am reminded of early Poseidon quality when I admire the construction of the Si Tech Reg , UW review coming.

The second stages are designed for use with the lower IP. Second stages for "normal IP (125-145 psi)" most likely will be hard to adjust. You should be using a Si Tech 2nd stage as an alternate. I haven't had any issues with LP inflator hoses. I've got a couple of these regs that I use on my doubles set up. They are great breathers. 2nd stages look a little "old school" but they are super light with a large bore mouthpiece and virtually zero jaw fatigue.
Cheers,
Scott
