Delta P VR3 strap hacks

Hi,

I want to "upgrade" my VR3 strap, all I have seen is a PVC pipe mod, I was thinking something like using Sugru, a hacked up wrist dive slate or 3D printing, anybody done anything or have any cool ideas?

or maybe just using a flat piece of plastic to attach bungee to and (clear) heatshrinking the VR3 to it, or putting together a neoprene pocket for it?
