Atlanta folks always get screwed for Delta having direct flights. I saved $800 on two tickets to Rome by driving to Birmingham and catching a Delta flight to ATL to get on the same exact flight to FCO.

I was really chapped when I searched flights from BOS to CUR. Less than $500 and over $400 less than from ATL - and Delta doesn't even fly there!!

Yep. As I have whined about in many of these airfare discussions, it's cheaper for me to drive from Atlanta to Birmingham, AL and fly BHM-ATL-BON than for me to take the ATL-BON nonstop, which is the exact same plane I will board after connecting from BHM.
