Looks like flights started up again Friday . I imagine this info is buried in another thread but seemed better to post under new thread with new title

“The flight, which had been suspended since June of this year, will operate again with a daily frequency until April 13, 2025 and subsequently, will offer flights on Saturdays from April 19 to May 3, 2025, expanding air connectivity with the island.”

Be aware that scumbag Delta doesn’t treat flights to/from Mexico as an international destination, and won’t grant you lounge access with a first class itinerary, at which point they try to get you to sign up for a credit card. Never again Delta.

We also arrived 45 minutes early into ATL, that turned to 45 minutes late, due to and I quote the Captain - “Sorry folks, I don’t know what to tell you anymore, the person operating the jetway has no idea what they’re doing.”

Delta flights to/from Canada/Mexico/Central America and even some to South American are not consider international because they are shorter duration. Also lounge entrance changes were made two years ago.

For those not as well traveled as Scared Silly, it’s helpful to know that the “premium experience” billed by Delta is actually a cut rate approach to maximizing ticket revenue and placing priority for third party AMEX card holders over premium direct paying customers. Table stakes in my opinion for first/business class, but what can you expect anymore with “domestic” airfare anymore? AA for Cozumel is a far better first experience relatively speaking, but far fewer seats per equipment, equally miserable airport experience in IAH/DFW/MIA.
