Scuba toys has a package that I am really thinking about getting. It has the Brigade BCD, the DAtamax Pro Plus 2 computer and the Delta 3 tdx5 regulator. My question is about that regulator, would I be better off seeing if I can get the Delta 4 instead. I have done a search here on SB to find more info about the Delta 3 but that is very limited. It is not even in their book or on their website. Does anyone have experience with these regs?

I love the Delta 3 and was very disapointed when the Delta 4 came out. I don't understand why they would try to fix something that is not broken but I guess that is a dive manufacturers mentality.

I use delta 3's on my doubles rig (although I have Apeks first stages), and on my singles and stage/deco bottles. I own 6 of them.

I just bought a delta 4 and LOVE it. Just need to get a 7' hose without the pivot ball that will fit.....

WE didn't really stop the Delta 3, the GT3 is a Delta 3 withouit the dive/predive. The Delta 4/FDX10 is a better performer.

Go read the post I made in the oceanic section, it's even a sticky to make it easy.

Chris,
Read the post, cool, Ed at Da Kine did not have the 7' hose in stock when I picked up my regs. Is the 7' Hose smaller in diameter than the standard Oceanic Hose? The thicker hose would SEEM to me to be harder to deal with, it may just be me though..
of course, my DIR buddies shake there head at me since I put a Veo 250 console with my reg.....

The Delta 4 fitting is specific to the Delta 4 where it attaches to the second stage, where it goes into the first stage is standard.

The hose isn't any thicker.
