Thank you all.
To sum up as I understand it, all the Delrin DIN regulator caps that folks have used will seal the inlet well enough to rinse the 1st stage.
Some, without an o-ring, do it with a depression that allows for the inlet flange, and lets the DIN fitting's o-ring to seal against the bottom of the cap.
The other type of cap has an o-ring that looks like it seals against the inlet flange.
That's the info I needed.
