Hi Everyone,

I was wondering if anyone has had the experience of their period being delayed due to diving? Mine is a few days late (this is unusual for me) and I went diving last week. Oh, and I am not on any oral contraceptives. Does anyone have any information or has this happend to you?

Thanks in advance....

I usually have the opposite problem, but if I go on a diving trip I prefer to take two sets of pills front to back, I asked my gynecologist and he said that as long as this is not done on a regular basis it won't be a problem.

Donna:
If pregnacy could be a possibility, you should get it checked out before you dive anymore.

:)
I have never been late because of diving.

chiara once bubbled...
I usually have the opposite problem,

have to agree with chiara i've never experienced it being late.. only being early..

but maybe natasha has a point :baby: you should check it

I would start up to a week early if diving on a trip. Natasha has a good idea. Please check it out before you dive again.

I noticed spotting or starting early when I dived a week before I was supposed to start, especially on deep dives (100' range). I asked my doctor about it and he was kinda like, "really...cool".

Time to take the EPT I guess.

Or did you fly and do a multiple time zone change? That can sometimes whack your system out -- but you should check it out as the others have suggested.

Thanks for all the replies. EPT - Neg. (whew...) and I did fly but within my time zone. Am 3 days late but perhaps my cycle is just changing.....

I see from another post you were on vacation doing OW cert. Were you overly stressed about the trip &/or diving? I have had the cycle whacked about (either early or late by a couple days up to a week) when the stress levels reach the breaking point.

Also noticed I went longer between cycles after I lost some extra weight a couple years ago.

Just some thoughts...
