Deepsea Detectives is on now, they're searching for a mystery oil spill. Looks like there will be a lot of diving once they find it. And a lot of cool searching right now.

Watching it. :D

It's usually on Monday nights although they do skip some days. It comes on around 8 or 9pm EST and then a repeat at 12 or 1am EST.

Hopefully they'll put out a viewers choice marathon some day so I can catch all the back episodes I missed. I like the show and all but I ain't paying 29.95 per episode to History Channel to watch it, hehe.

the one a couple weeks ago when he was cave diving in Coz was a joke.

That was a good show. I wonder, would someone be able to make a profit retrieving the oil from wrecks and then selling it? I imagine the costs would be really high, just curious. Sure would be nice to get that stuff out of the ocean though.

I seriously doubt if there is any chance of making a profit on something like that, especially using sat diving and such. I too hope they do a marathon....I'd be watching!

It was a good show - I usually try to catch it. I enjoy watching the show more for the interesting underwater footage than anything else.

My fiance and I were watching it, and we had to laugh - they were talking about "48 degree water and only maybe 5 feet of visibility". We looked at each other and said "dang, sounds a heck of a lot warmer and nicer than some of the quarries we dive!".

Just goes to show what kind of conditions you will put up with when you need a fix. Our one quarry has 6 inches of viz past 80' during certain times of the summer. It is as black as inside of a cave. Very weird stuff...

Actually, they've done something like that already. One morning (early summer?) I noticed it on at 6am. So I hit the guide, and sure enough, they had something like 10 episodes in a row.
I TVO'd them, watched them all and enjoined about half of them.

I'll keep an eye out and post if they do it again.

I thought it was a good show tonight. I was wondering if anyone else noticed this:
The wreck was at 175'
He was wearing a full face mask
And I didn't notice any change in voice? So maby he wasn't using any helium?
175' seems pretty deep with out some helium or maby he was on air?

Any other thoughts?
