Hello

I've defiantly dove the Empress of Irland more than 15 times. having parents who have a second home in New Brunswick makes it easy for me to dive her every time I visit at the right time of year. The empress is a tricky dive that must be dived during slack tied and getting up at 5 in the morning is all part of the fun. For most of you who have not dived her, the shot line takes you down to about 90' were you can move on down her side from there to 260'. A reel line is defiantly recommended as side currents can pick up in a second and if you get got in a current WAMO your on your way to Halifax. There are plenty of passage ways to venture into under guide reels. The people who take you out are great as are all eastern Canadians friendly as hell.

You must have dove it on air..as I recall the Empress lies in a defiant 45m (about 150' for the metrically challenged) of water.

No! I was on car fumes, and I didn't even get to see the skull with the golden tooth.
