Deep See (aqualung) safe sole wetsuit booties are defective

I bought Deep See 6.5mm Safe Sole Dive Boots that have protective rubber overlay across the upper and toe. After 10 dives the neoprene on the ankle of both boots was splitting where it joins the rubber overlay. I called Deep See and they told me to take them back to the retailer- Sport Chalet. I did so and Deep See has refused to warranty the boots. Avoid Deep See products.
