Sorry to bump this, but I completely forgot to report back!

Deep dive was brilliant, really good. Was surprised at the end when we were ascending, it seemed to take ages! Gave me a really good indication of how deep we were (am I the only person who cannot visualise depth?).

Managed fine, even though at one point my regulator got knocked out my mouth. Didn't panic or worry just blew my bubbles and retrieved it.

2 dives left to go in my AOW.

How is it possible to love diving so much? Every time in the water is just better and better!

Thanks for all the advice guys.

Congrats NauticalbutNice
Sounds like you had a great time. A big part of diving in mental and if you can relax, have fun and keep a cool head than you're on your way to bigger and better dives.
As far as your question on how is it possible?
That is very easy to answer. There is a little bug that hangs around open water courses and sometimes will bite the divers. The venom is very powerful making the students spend money and flock to the nearest body of water to submerge themselves into. To this day there is no cure for this disease.
Either that or "as my wife believes" the local dive shop injects some unknow addictive substance into their air filter system that turns all divers into water zombies.
