Darn! Just got an email from CCV today and they made a mistake and booked us an overwater room even though the resort was already fully booked. They are now proposing a beach house instead unless they have a cancellation. How far are the beach houses from the resort? Has anyone ever stayed in the beach houses? Is it still convenient?
Thanks for your help

There will most likely be a cancellation opening up, there usually is.

The Beach Houses are no more than 5 minutes walk or a two minute bicycle ride to the dive op/dining area. Better privacy, anyway.

A minor inconvenience - not a deal breaker by any means

April is a long time away and, as RoatanMan said, there will probably be a cancellation before then and you get moved back to the regular resort if you want. I think there are groups booked during that time also, so if they don't fill all their rooms, those rooms will be released and you will get one of those. So I would say go ahead and take the booking for beach house.
