Deciding on a Back Inflate

I bought a Reef Rider, have been very happy with it. I like the fastclip weight releases -- I know the pull-handle mechanisms do work, but I change weighting for different suit configs, and am happy with the ease of dropping weights into the Reef Rider. The Reef Rider also comes with a pair of easily removable tank weight pouches, on the cam band -- I use them all the time (balance a QuickDraw pony with a 2 lb weight on the other side)

I know that my spelling is far from great, and I don't care.
You would be surprised at the number of people that don't understand my alias. It works and I have never had to come up with another alias on any board that I have been on.

For traveling, I use a Seaquest Balance. It is very light, packs well and has good stability UW. I would recommend a look. Otherwise, take your time and put together a BP/W configuration that with a little adaptation can serve all of your needs as they change.
