Well it looks like we are finally going to have a good weekend, weather wise. This whole week has been nice. I had RIOceanographer and a friend on board for a night dive at the Narragansett Pinnacle. It was great night, albeit with a little fog. The vis was decent. Lobsters were scarce but it was a pretty dive.
It looks like we will have more of the same this weekend! Everyone have fun!

Hi John,

Was wondering how your dive went the other night. Have a great weekend too. We're off to outer Boston harbor tomorrow to check out a couple of spots and dive either the Kiowa or Herbert . . . maybe both;)!

Al and I dove the Kiowa on his boat a couple of years ago. I enjoyed it. Just make sure you dive it at slack water! I have not done the Herbert. It is on that list that keeps growing every year.

I second that, I had a great time! The Narragansett Pinnacle is definitely worth checking out for those that haven't been there.

Can you give us a bit of a description of the site, Chris?

It is a steep rockpile several hundred feet in diameter that rises 50+ ft off the surrounding bottom. There are all sorts of crevices and holes making for some really interesting scenery and providing an excellent place for fish and other critters to hang out. It is the 20ft spot I marked on the chart.
