Okay, I'm looking forward to being down in FL fairly quick. Well, two or so months.

But, I am freaking hot to dive Venice Beach.

Can anyone let me know how the conditions are duirng that time of year (December)?


Viz? Temp? Etc...


I do have a 5mm wetsuit now.... ack.

Boats the best thing I can tell you is go to the reports page. It has all the records of most of the dive reports there.

Just checked it myself and its around 60 at that time. You know at that time I will be in the rivers and not in the gulf. Happy hunting and good luck. I will save a few for you until you get here..... ~~~Babe~~~

When I dived Venice at Thanksgiving, the water temps have been as low as 61°. I am a bit of a weenie, so I dived with my 7mm shorty with a 3mm jane, hood and 5mm booties...and got cold.

That is awesome! I got a comfortable 5mm. My 7mm is OLD, but may work! HOW was that viz? Was it worth it?

MORE importantly, how long did it take you to warm up?
