Hello Divers,
The Grand Rapids Scuba Club is pleased to announce our next dry dive social event on the second Monday of the month. If you are new to diving, this is the perfect opportunity to meet new dive buddies and to meet people that share your enthusiasm for diving. If youve been diving for a while, you can meet up with your dive buddies to share your latest dive trip or to plan a new one. We will be introducing new members, discussing underwater navigation, planning upcoming club events, having a drawing for a prize and a social hour to catch up with our members. We will also be updating you on the status of the January holiday party and providing more details for this exciting event.
Since the holidays are just around the corner and there are so many people in need, we will be having a food drive at this event. Although you are not required to do so, we are asking that you bring with you a canned or boxed food item. The items most needed are canned vegetables, pasta products, creamed soups, or tomato based products. We will be donating the collected items to God's Kitchen to help provide warm meals for the less fortunate, and just in time for Christmas. Your generosity will be greatly appreciated.

Where: Sams Joint 1665 Viewpond Dr., S.E. Kentwood, MI 49508
Time: 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Cost: Only cost is what you decide to purchase and/or a canned or boxed food item (again, this is optional)
Once again, Sams Joint has graciously given us the use of one of their rooms at no cost to the Club. They do request, however, that each person purchase at least one beverage. If you come hungry, their menu offers a large variety and very reasonable prices. Their menu can be found at Specials and deals from Sam's Joint Restaurants.
