Dec. 4 New Paris OH dive Natural Springs Resort

Due to time constraints we've had to move my husbands 25 year diving anniversary dive to the site where it all started. Hopefully we won't have the blowing snow they had when he did his check-out dives We'll be meeting at 9am if anyone would like to join us, someone is coming out to let us in at 9 so if you're planning to go be on time. Would love to meet anyone who's willing to brave December in Ohio to dive. Hubby and I probably only have time for one long dive since we have to be home and cleaned up by mid afternoon. Let me know if you can make it so I know how many people to watch for. I'll check Scubaboard Friday evening before I head to work.

I think the gear is officially hung up until spring...unless something wacky happens in FL over NYE.

Too much work travel is scheduled for me to break away and dive.

IT's almost like I'm growing up or something...responsibility, family time, UGH !!...I'm living my worst Nightmare !!! AAAHHH !!!

Is Natural springs the one just over the IN line east of Richmond?? If so I may come just to meet some of you as I only have a 7 mil and it is getting a little cold for diving plus I have to get my stuff serviced first.

Well, if you are from Indiana, yes. I believe the little surrounding town is New Paris.

That's the place! Rent some gear if yours needs serviced and come on out and join us the water shouldn't be too cold for a 7mm yet just bring plenty of warm dry clothes for afterward. Would be happy to meet you even if you can't dive!

Hmm, didn't know they were still open... I'll check the schedule and see if that day is free....rather be in cold water that in the mall xmas shopping any day!!!!!!!

I don't think they are actually open, one of our Dive Masters asked if SODA could open it for us and they agreed. That's why we have to be there at 9 to meet the guy who will let us in. Come on out and join us

What is going to be the cost with and with out diving???Is tthere a place to get an air fill if needed??? Brian

I'm not sure what they will charge us, I'm assuming the regular season rate but could be wrong. I don't know if the guy will stay long enough to do air fills or not so I'm bringing all my air just in case. My Dive Master set it up there, we were originally going to go to Gilboa but changed it when he said he could probably get us into Natural Springs. I know this means I'm doing a "dive trip" without knowing the plans but that's half the fun Heck, hubby and I did a 2-week camping vacation/honeymoon out west like that: we knew where we would be for 4 days in the middle of the two weeks and the rest of it we just played by ear.

I know I have to be there at 9am to get in, am I making you all crazy yet :biggrin:

I would imagine that whoever opens the gate is not going to hang around.
