I picked up a DC800 this week for use on an upcoming vacation.

When unattaching my Sealife wide angle lense (SL970) from the body of the camera the lip of the housing came off around the lens port (the lip that says "4X optical" and "rated 200 ft".

I'll attach an image later, but I was just curious if this will affect the integrity of the housing. It doesn't look like it, but I was just curious. The lip looks like it was attached by glue, and I noticed some white spots inbetween the housing an lip.

I sealed the housing, and let it soak overnight too look for leaks. Thankfully this morning I didn't see any inside the camera.

Hello Reef.

That is the Snap Ring and it will not affect the integrity of the housing but I would suggest contacting our service dept. @ 856 866-9191 to get an RMA and have the housing returned to us for replacement. It seems that there was some contamination on the ring when it was glued, causing it not to hold. They will fix at n/c.
