Hey, I'm sure this question has been asked already but I wasn't really able to find an answer... What are the major improvements from the DC800 to the DC1000 and in your opinion would upgrading be worth it? I have a school trip going to the Galapagos in a few weeks and I want to be able to take the best pictures I can, but I'm unable to decide on whether or not upgrading would be worth the expense...

Me personally haven't used the dc800 and so glad i wasn't looking at that time, but i did purchase the dc1000maxx, i simply love it. It is a big improvement over my dc600 in the battery life. That was my only complaint with Sealife. You can't go wrong with the dc1000. I hope you plan on getting a strobe along with it???
