Welcome to the 2005 DEMA Journal/ Blog. If you aren't familiar with DEMA, it is, in short, an annual show held for the dive and dive travel industry. Shops, resorts, manufacturers and service companies come together to look at the latest product innovations and do business. As an industry only show, consumer's aren't allowed in and that's where ScubaBoard comes in -- we'll be providing you with daily show updates, interviews, photos and exclusive deals from the show. Want to learn more? Check out the main DEMA forum for a full description of the show.
The ScubaBoard team started arriving today to setup our booth. It's always exciting to what everyone's booth setup looks like, a ton of work goes into getting the show together and for a few days out I'm impressed at the progress. Las Vegas is certainly a more formal convention center than Houston and you can see the impact it has on the booths, lots of great setups are popping up, it looks like a fun show. Of course Vegas is far more fun outside of the convention center and with DEMA attendees and exhibitors all over the strip, one would almost think there was actual diving or at least water in the area
Of course theres not a lot more to report yet but tomorrow looks like a long day of final booth preparations and pre-show chatting. Stay tuned for lots of photos of the setup process along with some pre-show announcements and specials!
