Davey remote air intake?

I may be getting some more free time to work on my Davey compressor soon, and I was wondering if anyone has any thoughts on a good aftermarket air intake filter that would easily adapt to remote intake plumbing to replace the stock oil bath filter.

I was able to find a pretty cheap intake filter assembly from McMaster-Carr with a 1-1/2" male NPT connection. They also offer an optional filter that's rated down to 10 microns so I went ahead and ordered one of those too.

Filter assy: 9228K16 $17.15
Filter: 9228K32 $5.31

Whatever you decide to do for an intake snorkel, be sure to size it larger that your connections so there is no chance of an air flow restriction.
