Damaged Reefs off Maui

Have a look at how they treat our precious reefs here on Maui these days.....This was a pristine reef just days ago until the State stepped in to do a little improvement...



I'm appalled! Are you? The blocks are courtesy of the State of Hawaii. I'm sure the corals and fish are thrilled about their new homes!!

Any idea what they were trying to do? It looks like they were trying to dump the concrete blocks next to the reef in a sandy area as part of some sort of artificial reef.

Is there any truth to the rumor that the concrete boxes contained birth certificates from the 1950s and 1960s, including Obama's?
