Mack Diver:
I have one zeta left at Oak Hill Scuba. I also have a zeta Octo. PM me if you are interested and I can get you pricing information.

Hi Mack,

Heck it's discontinued (but still loved by many) you can post the price right here. With a good price you can clear it out.

Best,

Chris

I've seen these around my local waters being used somewhat. This is not the standard Dacor Viper but the Viper METAL.

What are your opinions on this regulator? I've been looking for something "new" and thought about this setup especially for singles. I currently dive with a Scubapro MK20 / G250 combo and it works good but like I said I was just looking for something "new".

I'm sure there will not be any performance gains going from the MK20/G250 to the Viper METAL will there?

Thanks,
Jeremy

I use a dacor viper metal and like it a lot. I've taken it down to 120' and it gives me all the air I need without a problem. The side exhaust is nice and works well in any position, even a goofy inverted position when looking under ledges, and the bubbles stay out of my face in any normal position. The heat/moisture exchange seems to work as advertised, as I have never had a problem with cottonmouth when using it. Swivel is nice, it is compact and good for travel, and it looks cool.

No negatives from me.

Hi

Re: Dacor Viper Regs... i thought it was impossible to get these serviced? Havent Mares taken over and stopped producing service kits.

If not- i have had my eye on a set for a while, looking to use it in Monterey. Is it suitable for the colder dives?

Mine is new to me this year, so I haven't had it serviced yet. I've been told by a Mares rep that the Viper line of regs will be supported for the forseeable future.
