The missus has a Dacor Talon BCD (XSmall). Likes it fine, comfortable, and so forth. But the integrated weight pouches are a real pain to remove/replace. They are stiffened by sewn in plastic panels, and just barely fit into the jacket's pockets. Before our last dive, she couldn't even get the pouches back in the pockets after inserting soft lead weights.

This seems like it might be a safety hazard in case a ditch is needed. On land, with dry hands, I had to give an aggressive tug to remove, after undoing the buckle and Velcro closure. Can't imagine what that would be like for her underwater in a panic.

Anyone have a similar problem with this BCD, and figure out a workaround? Considering making our own pouches somehow. Or she could go to a weight belt, but that somewhat defeats the purpose of the weight integration, which we felt was a plus. I would post on the Mares board, but figured it wouldn't get anywhere.

Much obliged for any ideas,
