does anyone know anything about dacor aero regs? also, does anyone know how to remove.....mineral deposits around the hose connection jackets?

By "hose protection jackets" do you mean the hose protectors that consist of short (about 4") sleeves that are installed at the ends? If so, the best solution is to take them off and leave them off. They do not achieve thier intended purpose, they trap salts (as you have seen) and they make it difficult to check your hoses for damage. To get the mineral deposits (salts) off, soak the effected parts in a solution of CLR or other similar household lime cleaner. Then rinse in fresh water. If you do this with the hose disconnected from the regulator, run some water through the hose to rinse the inside and then blow air through it to dry it out.
