I just bought a Dacor Quantum BC from a friend and I was wondering if anyone who has one or knows someone with the same BC could tell me what the lift capacity is on it, or maybe let me know how to check it for myself via tests or something. The BC is an XLarge. I have checked the internet which got me nowhere and with the guy I bought it from but he did not know, I also checked the tag on the BC and it does not have the lift capacity written on it. I have not dived with the BC yet, any help would be appreciated..
Thanks in advance

Odds are it's in the 40-45 lb range for a XL. That should be close enough for most purposes but if you really want to know, grab a big bag of weights including some 1 lbs, a plastic bucket, a couple of feet of rope and go the the nearest pool. Tie the bucket handle to the tank bands or Drings on the front and blow the BC up fully. Get deep enough to submerge the bucket and have room for the bucket and BC to get totally under water, something like 4 ft should do. Once you have the bucket full of water and hanging under the BC, start adding weights to the bucket until it sinks to the bottom....when it just barely sinks you have your answer. By the way, this works for wetsuits too, put them in a mesh bag making sure you get all the air out of them.
