BAyouxman1,

I'm going to pull the ad for the Dacor regulators and 1st stage. I got an email from a dive instructor informing me that Dacor was bought by Mares quite a while ago and there are no parts available for this setup any more, precluding any kind of maintenance. If you're still interested in buying it any way, that's up to you. I just wanted to let you know what you would be getting exactly. Sorry, I've been out of diving for a while, and didn't know about the Dacor purchase, or the fact that Mares wasn't supporting rigs from before the merger.

Thanks,

Neil

Neilsky,

Your information is correct that Dacor was bought out by Mares a while back and they (Mares) only support the newer (rebranded Mares) rigs. However parts can still be found for some original Dacor designs, including the 960 series. It does take some searching however (left over inventory at old Dacor dive shops). When Dacor originally went under, their manufacturer was owed money for parts. As it was not paid, the manufacturer chose to destroy undelivered product.

If you do decide not to sell the reg here, offer it up for sale on ebay for parts. There are lots of old Dacor users who are scrounging for spares.

Good luck,
Ltstanfo
