There are some of you I know that remember when Cypress Spring dive shop was managed by the Vickers family - Harold, Linda, James, and Heather.

I heard from Heather this morning - my wonderful pleasant surprize turned to sadness as Heather related that her dad Harold passed away last December 7. He became ill and before his diagnosis was confirmed his cancer was at grade four. Knowing Harold, he fought hard but the dragon proved too strong.

Heather asks us to keep her family in our thoughts and prayers as they continue to adjust to losing their dad.
 
I remember Harold used to come out and scrupulously inspect my dive gear for plant fibers, if I had been diving other springs in the area. Quite a character.

He's been missed sorely.
