I've seen people ask, "How long would it take to drain a tank if someone cut your hose?" And which hose?? High pressure or low pressure?? Which will make it drain faster?

I had to come up with the answer - so we made a video:

I little long lived, but it illustrates the point nicely. I think there is a chart for the drain times in one of the TDI technical diving manuals. A really high IP regulator, think Poseidon, would drain more quickly as they are designed to deliver more gas.

That’s was good, I would never have guessed that it would work out that way. But now that I think about it, it makes sense.
 
Note that this is depth dependent...
