I have a ML Bare wetsuit and it fits like a glove. Wetsuits are elastic and will adapt your body shape so if you’re off 1-2 inches you are still ok.

I just put an order for a Bare Nex-Gen Pro dry size – ML same as the wetsuit.
I got all measurements taken by the dive shop - from the available sizes I’m 1 inch more at chest 1 inch more at waist, the dive shop said I should be ok no need for custom. Anybody encountered similar experiences?

Most suits give a certain limit on their recomendations. Nothing is an exact science and they can only give rough numbers. Try it on, make sure you have full mobility, and enjoy diving it. If you're that close to recommended size, I doubt you'll have any problems.

It's usually best to try on the suit at the shop before you order it, although that can be hard if the shop doesn't carry much stock. You should be okay, though. My Bare Nex-Gen and Bare Velocity wetsuit are the same size, and fit pretty much the same way. Try on your suit as soon as you get it: make sure you can crouch down and reach behind your head. If you find that your mobility is too restricted to do those actions, get your suit exchanged for a bigger size. Bare is pretty good about that, especially since the Nex-Gen suits are made in standard sizes to fit off the shelf. Good luck!

I just had the confirmation from Bare that the suit should match without any problem... I'm sure it will.

Thanks,

Robert

You really have to try the suits on. I can not fit in many large drysuits, but a DUI Large fits me darn near a custom fit.
