Does anyone know of any place that will make custom sized tuck in hood that are 6-7mm thick? I have a decent wet suit, but can't find a thick hood off the rack that is comfortable. Even the hoods with super strech, the super strech part is in the wrong place for me. I have rather a double chin & off the rack hoods (even the zippered ones) feel too tight. The zippered ones are tolerable, but not comfortable. I do mostly fresh water quarry diving, so a thick hood is a must. I can't see buying a full custom wet suit, when the one I have is good enough, I just need a comfortable hood that doesn't feel like its trying to strangle me. Any ideas?

Otter Bay Wetsuits in Monterey will make you one up to 14mm thick. Google it, then give Cricket a call.

And when you get your custom fit hood and you think that it is way too tight, trust Cricket when she says it will stretch out and be perfect after a couple of dives.

Yea these guys are great. You can get a hood up to 14mm thick (never get cold wearing that one). Not to mention if you want ears or a cool octopus or any thing else you can think of on your hood they will do that for you.
