I have a new battery pack built with NiMH Cells-12 volts, 9000MAH. What would anyone here recomend as a charger? Would a normal wall wart 12v 1000mah output charge this pack? Should I charge with higher voltage or a different mah output? How about a smart hobby battery charger designed for Nimh?

Thanks for any insight on this subject.

Kyle

Did you build this yourself ? If not, who ever built it for you should be able to make a good recommendation. Have you looked at the NIMH chargers at batteryspace.com ?

I've seen people say good things about this charger on the HID divelights yahoo group...

p.s. - just make sure that whatever charger you get has some sort of temperature sensor/shutoff circuit for charging NiMH batteries. They're kinda' expensive to cook for the heck of it :)

Good unit. No problems.

It has a over-temp probe and a maintenance charge mode.

edit: This is for a 10 cell NiMH pack that I use in a Stealth canister

Thanks for the replies. I can't seem to find out if this charger can charge a battery pack up to 9000mah. does anyone know?

Thanks again. Kyle
