Hey Chris, yes, I should have asked last night, LOL.

I've signed up for the sport dive this coming Sunday. My danged drysuit is still in for repair. My HID light is still awaiting a new battery. Man, what I would give for functioning gear.....

I think there still is one spot left, but you can check at the shop tonight. I will be there as well. See you then.

I was also there last week. Our temperature readings were low 40's. 42 to be exact. That's here nor there. As CDN ff wrote the algae level is lower than usual for this time of year. We also had a great dive. She's really beginning to show signs of aging with a side rail hanging off. Hope you enjoyed your dive.

Yeah, it was a good dive. We had great weather topside. The temps were around 46F at depth. Viz wasn't bad, though it was dark as night. Nice to see a wooden wreck without any zebras around here.

I've been thinking - and it may be cause for concern ;) ...
is there a decline in zebra mussels? or maybe it's just the wrecks I've been on lately.

While there are Zebra mussels... there have also been bare spots... not worn off but really bare.

Rhumors were heard that perch have decided they are a tasty treat. Hmmm? another eco puzzle.

Like any wild creature, population depends on food supply. When they first arrived, the lakes were a disaster, lots of food, population explosion. As the lakes have been cleaned up, decline in food supply, decline in population. There's supposed to have been another larger mussel, more efficient feeder that's arrived and is contributing to the drop in some areas.
