Will be on the island in a week and was hoping for a little restaurant advice. I know there has been some turnover since our last visit in 2007. Was hoping for a few recommendations............

I'm hoping the restaurant in town that had a separate bar menu is still there.....will be able to find it but can't remember the name. It was one of our favorites. So please, let the list begin and I promise to add our reviews when we get back.

Mona Lisa is the restaurant with the Bar Hap menu and, yes, they are still there! Our favorites on island are Pasa Bon Pizza, Wil's, Plazita Limena, Patagonia, El Fagoen and Bobbe Jan's.

Definitely agree with reefdiva. Please note Mona Lisa IS CLOSED on the weekends! We also LOVE Paradise Moon at Harbour Village, great drinks and they will serve you dinner at bar. My last meal there was an AMAZING beef taco salad that would feed 4 persons!!! I had to take most of it home.

Also, we LOVE Its Raining Fishes. If you want a bit upscale (cloth napkins, great food, excellent service) try it. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. It is a little pricer than some of the restaurants mentioned, but I do have to say, we were extremely satisfied for the whole experience for what we paid.

Also, there is a great "middle-eastern" type cafe that is open late (I've seen it still open around 11pm) that is in the building across from Rento Fun, and the building next to the Harley place on the second story. They serve these amazing wraps (sorry can't remember the name), but really reasonable.

Enjoy!

One more vote for Will's Tropical Grill. Worth springing for the tasting menu for that special occasion. Can't wait to go there myself in a couple of weeks.

Another +1 for Will's.

As for Pasa Bon Pizza...it is definitely the best pizza on Bonaire (for whatever that's worth) and if you like the average pizza you can get at a mall in the US (or Papa John's or Domino's) then you'll probably like Pasa Bon just fine.

However if you like GOOD pizza, you might want to skip pizza on Bonaire altogether.
