Below is a link to a 5 minute underwater video from our recent trip to Curacao. Video was shot by my husband Lloyd, edited by yours truly. It was our 2nd trip to Sunset Waters. Kudos to the entire staff at Sunset Divers, they were terrific and very accommodating to our group. Footage on the video includes a freeswimming eel, hawksbill turtles, squid, a seahorse, a yellow frogfish (thanks Chuck!), and a little surprise at the end. I'm a bit disappointed in the quality of the video as it shows on youtube, it looks much better on our 42 inch Sony Bravia flatscreen HDTV. Anyway, hope you enjoy.

Thanks! Yes, all we could see was the blue tail of the fish. He/she must have just caught it before we arrived.

What was the fish at the beginning??

nice footage and editing, I'll bet you used Studio, I might also suggest using either a light kit or a red filter on the video camera to bring out the color (or if you are using studio try the auto-color video filter)

Correct, I use Studio. Lloyd uses a red filter on the underwater housing. IMHO, a lot is lost when posting it on youtube. Also, there was a lot of particle in the water the week we were there.

Nice video. I liked the music. Curacao is one of my favorite places to dive. I know what you mean about youtube. The quality is definitely not the best. You might want to give vimeo or blip.tv a try. Your vid will look much better there.

yup, particulate matter is a problem for both video and still uw photography (I've not noticed a lot of pm in Curacao, but it's always snowing in Roatan) you can try using a polarizing filter and/or aim lights/flash at an angle and spread out as far as possible from the lens to reduce its impact, btw the turtle footage was awesome...
