I was curious if anyone had bought anything on the way into Curacao at the little duty free shop in the Hato Airport by the baggage claim?

I think I remember seeing alcohol and cigarettes throughthe window.

Anyone know the prices?

Thanks.

Don't bother. Prices are silly-high.

I've noticed the place but was always anxious to get on the road so never stopped. I imagine you are flying through Miami. I have looked in the duty free shops there and I don't know about cigarettes, but some of the adult beverage prices aren't too bad if you find something on sale.

Typically I can do as well or better on liquor locally, but if you buy in Miami you can carry a bottle on the plane to Curacao and don't have to deal with packing it. May be worth a few bucks to save the hassle, risk of breakage and weight (but then you have to try and finish it on the trip so you don't have to pack it back).
