You mean in Cuba or with the operator out of that particular property?

Diving in Cuba these days is well organized and moderately well equipped in the larger tourist area. It is mostly critter diving... mostly the standard tourist reef sites (take a camera). Area is well within the belt for black coral and some exceptional sponges. Some areas are overfished, some are pretty beaten up. Some cavern and cave diving. On the whole, Cuba is not a bad spot...

Hello

I dove Cuba 10 years ago in the Bay of Pigs, its a fantastic wall dive with plenty of large sponges the size of cars out cropping from the wall looking stright down to 3000 ft is awsome. I also did some Cave diving there to.

Cuba A+

My wife, who does not dive, my son who does and myself are thinking of going to Cuba in Feb.

Does anyone know of a small little resort that does not cost much money and has a lot of natural attributes.
We are not into the typical tourist traps.

One that would have some things for my wife to do while my son and I dove. We will probably only take two days out of the trip to dive. So some other activities are important.

Thanks

There is no better way to dive cuba than to go with adventure divers in peterborough - the owner there is a native cuban and does an escorted trip there once or twice a year. Went with them in march this year and going again in march next year. We got to do dives you dont normally get to do with the dive shops there on our own schedule with tanks that are arranged etc. and stay with you the whole week. Depending on weather, we spent time in the bay of pigs or just outside varadaro. Cant wait to go back.

Talk to Sherry or Pepe. I really wouldn't do a cuba trip without these guys. Pepe's family lives just outside of Varadaro. Our best meals were there that week (i wouldnt write home about meals at cuban resorts for sure - by the end of the week, we ended up just eating bread and fruits but thats not why we were there.)

PM me if you want any more details.

.....I will be heading south with them to Cuba in March also.

They are heading down with two groups. One group dive as little or as much as you like, and the second groupd is going for max bottom time. Correct me if I am wrong Steve.

Looking forward to it. And so is my wife.......;)
