Waterford?????

Where at in waterford? It would be great to dive that close to home!

We've entered at the boat launch at Pleasure Beach. The DEP has been known to chase divers away from the boat launch on Weekends during boating season though. They have never bothered us at night or during the week. Watch for fisherman along the rocks. They seem to like to use the dive flag as a casting target.

Funny you mention casting targets. I saw a fishing line on my sun dive. I grabbed it to guide it away from my equipment and could hear them reeling in throught it. Next time I think i'll cut it if they do it regularly. That dive was in ft weth.

Live on a lake as you may have heard, if you ever want to fresh water dive come on over!!!

Also scuba-sass and flying sherpa are from CT, a few others out there too.

aka Lyman Pond. It is supposedly one of the top 3 cleanest bodies of water in the state and I can definitely say that I don't think twice about swimming in it. You actually come out feeling clean and no yucky smell left on your body. No motorboats were ever allowed and although there is some litter on some of the shore and a few fishing poles on the bottom, the water is clean. We live so close we should get together to explore it! There is a dive platform that was put in and a VW Bug to find down there. On an overcast day it is pretty dark down there, but if we dive it early in the season before the weather gets to hot and on a sunny day, I guarantee it would be worth it. The lake is teeming with fish and even snokeling is fun, the fish will come right up to you. Kind of freaked me out one time, I thought I was the one looking and next thing I know there are a dozen fish just looking back at me, it was weird...

Anyway, neighbors... let's get together!!
