Anyone want to do some diving this weekend? I have not been in a while and really want to get in the water. :D

Me and the wife are heading out on the 26th to CSSP. I think we might camp, or just come back on the 27th too...

unfortunately I have to work weekends, and I took this weekend off.

I'll be there, on the left side, on Saturday. Haven't missed many weekends there over the winter.

Water temps are moving up. 3 weeks ago the water was 45° and last week, 49° . . . toasty.

maybe it will be in the 50s next weekend. :)

I am not sure what side we are going to be on. The place where my wife (Sharon is her name) certified is having kinda a get together out there. (Don't know if it is kosher to post the names of the LDS, etc, don't want to start an ugly thread). They have a OW class so they are diving with them in the morning and then in the afternoon for fun.

The wife and I are going to get used to our computers in the morning and then in the afternoon check out some more sites.

We will be bringing some food/snacks etc... come on out and meet us. We'll be in the White F150 with the NY on the tailgate and Airborne License plates....

Ya' lost me at "49". (Okay, I admit it...I'm a 'cold water wimp'!)

Have fun, and I'll see y'all out there about May.

Yes, you can post the names of shops stuff like that. It's advertising that people object to.

I've done the cold water classes. They are tough to do. It helps when it's warm in the surface.

Hope yall had fun.

Alright, so it was hot out there today :cool2:

Water was 60° from the surface to 10ffw, then from 10' to about 20' it dropped to 53° and from about 20' down it was still 49°. Still ok for a couple 45 min dives. Hands start to get cold after the 45 min.

Normally I set up on the left side about 1/2 way down near where the outhouse is. Did that today and did 1 dive there. I descended and headed to the platform, then headed 210° and swam that way for 20 mins. Lots of nothing, I mean nothing, unless you count the craters in the mud. Then did a recip and got myself back to the platform and headed to the dock. Nice and warm in the shallows. Then I left my little comfort zone (for the 1st time) and threw all my kit in the car and went over to the right side. Splashed in from the spot where there's a little narrow foot bridge going to the dock with an abbreviated, low incline ladder, where I had to exit knees first. Anyway, had a real nice dive there and there seemed to be more fish & even a turtle over that side. Viz really wasn't too good today, for some reason, (and not because I was mucking it up :mooner: ) at about 3' - 5'. It changed a bit depending on where you were. There were roughly about 20 ppl there today. Some in a class & some teams just putzing around.
