We went off Ft. Island and started diving at 30 miles out. We went to spearfish, and had a blast. We ended up about 40 mils out. The gulf was like glass saturday. I mean there wasn't even a swell above 6 inches. The water was crystal clear at 54 feet. We could see 80-100 feet. Spearfishing was a bust, but the experience was fantastic. The water temp was about 68. We saw starfish that were a foot across and fish were everywhere. All in all a great day.
