Just to say hi, I am a male nurse on cruise ships in the carribean and have been doing as much diving here as possible. I have Padi open water obtained in New Zealand and am hoping to get to the great barrier reef and byron bay (I am Australian) this year, and I am also thinking of diving BC in Canada in late May but not sure on water temp or costs, hmm decisions, decisions. See you in the water

Hmmm, if Southern California is any judge our May water temp below 20FSw is 55ish give or take 3 degrees and July in Monterey is 52ish so Canada wold be cooler than that. So I would say Drysuit is the order of the day for diving in BC.

Here is a good link. DIVE B.C. (Canadian Scuba Diving Guide Book for Victoria, British Columbia, Canada) for more information on BC.
