Hi there,

looking to purchase a dive rite travel exp wing, probably with a transpac, all for single tank diving. I know that a crotch strap is essential, but which one to choose, the 1 inch or the 2 inch? Any thoughts?

Thanks

I had the same question, so I bought both. I like the 2" one better but I use a drysuit and a scooter.

Hi again,

Thanks for the post. I assume all the previous posts are from guys ;)...some men find the 2 inch more comfortable as it doesn't, err, separate the boys??? Sorry to be frank.

However, the 2-inch has to be adjusted, which takes a bit of work on your part, whereas the 1-inch is simply clip and go.

In the tech diving world, the 2-inch is preferred mainly for scootering where you clip the scooter to the ring on the crotch strap and the resulting pull makes a 2-inch more comfortable.

I have dived both and wear a 2 inch on my tech rig and a 1-inch on my recreational rig.

Best,
Kathleen
