I have searched for this issue and found nothing
After thirty years my analog depth gauge broke. I bought a Cressi Donatello 2 console unit, as more and more dive ops require a computer.
I attached it to the same HP port in my (old) US Divers Conshelf SE2 first stage. When I did, I noticed there was almost no threading to tighten after I felt the snugging of the O-ring. Instead, there was a very hard metal- to-metal stop, as if I simply ran out of thread.
Is this normal fitting for such a pairing (new Donatello into old US Divers), or should I expect a leak when I air up at the shop manana? Thank you very much.
