cressi digi 2 - can't change unit of measurement?

got a cressi digi 2 for xmas

sitting here on dryland trying to figure out how to change the unit of measurement from barr to psi. tried 20+ times to do what was detailed in the user manual (see pic), but no matter what direction i flip this proprietary on/off battery switch cover thing, i can't make it change. and yes, i have ''respected the orientation'' as it details (upside down) in the pic below.

feeling like i should give up and just snorkel....

any one have a C digi 2 and know what i'm doing wrong, would welcome a reply or PM.

Works on mine. You have to have it ready during the launch sequence should work.
