We have Bank of America cc's and debit cards. No fees on either when we were in Bonaire in August. We just went to Niagara Falls Canada and got charged fees on ALL transactions - didn't matter if they were put through as US or CAN or on the cc vs debit card. I didn't figure out what the % was but probably around 3 - 4% per charge.
