some people call me the gangsta of love

well, ok so i paid her to...

Hey guys, quick question.
I just started to read this and maybe it’s already been asked but I cannot wait to see it. See, I was so engrossed I was late to work, impromptu meeting called so had to apologize, told my boss it was due to a religious service.
My question: I know magnets have a lot of power, like, things are drawn into them and they stick even upside down! I have this magnet on my refrigerator that says; On the 8th day God created German Sheppard’s and I’ve had no reason to doubt that, until recently.
Now I’ve been hearing that in fact, God created the long hose on the 8th day.
I’m feeling confused. Would he give Mankind two such enormous gifts on the same day?

oh ye of little faith...

if God can create the whole earth in one day, what would keep him from creating both german sheppards AND long hoses in one day?

many things were created on the 8th day.

basically if it doesn't have it's own day, it was created on the 8th day, such as:

mothers in law, pimples, Depends, Pintos, that elbow looking thing under your sink, and all Microsoft OS's (these were late, and were actually released on the ninth day) (with all retroactive patches created on the 11th day)(the 10th day was a holiday)

God knows how to spell Shepherd, even if refrigerator magnet makers do not. Anyway, those dogs are better described as Alsatian Police Dogs, not German Schleppers.

Isn't 'humankind' the preferred term? Shouldn't 'he' be rendered as 'He'? Is God male? Whom does he date? Does he have a long hose? A cell phone? His own web site?

Eight days a week, eight days a week ...

ugh... while 'suvival of the fittest' is a rather brutal reality, the industrial revolution has made it a little too easy for the unfit to survive. Now science has to compete for space in our school books with crackpot superstitions, and our nation's leader 'believes' the earth is 6,000 years old... that's progress folks.

proud to be an american (pukes)

I was just trying to think of the last president that was an atheist and publicly supported evolutionary theory, but I am drawing a blank. Perhaps someone could help me out.

Couldn't happen--you have to make a public show of whatever it takes to get you elected.

I once read an analysis of the process that led to the Tennessee anti-evolution law that caused the Scopes trial. It seemed that only a minority of the legislature was truly in favor of the bill, but the majority was afraid to draw the wrath of the fundamentalists in the state. They knew that the governor was against the bill, so they were sure he would veto it anyway. So they voted for it. The governor, of course, faced the same election fears, and he did not have the guts to veto it.

Well, Jefferson and most of the founders were Diests, which by today's standards is close enough.
