sandjeep:
the word 'inspired' ...without digging out the Hebrew, it can be defined as God directed it
The New Testament is written in koine greek. The compound word translated "Inspired of God" is:
θεόπνευστος ~ pronounced
theopneustos, which literally means:
God-breathed; as in God breathed it out. In the Apostle Paul's letter to Timothy he states that
All Scripture is God-breathed. 2 Timothy 3:16
Personally, I believe the Bible to be the inspired (and therefore inerrant) Word of God. Not that I understand everything, mind you. Still, believing, trusting and resting upon the Bible as the Word of God has given me a peace that passes understanding.
But, without Faith, it is impossible to believe. Faith itself is the evidence. And Faith is a gift. You can't work it up on your own. You can grope for answers, but without Faith you will only find more questions... like the physicist looking for the ultimate theory of everything only to find yet another layer of complexity disguised as simplicity.
*****************
By faith the person who wrote the New Testament letter of Hebrews almost 2000 years ago was able to understand what we take for granted today as established scientific fact:
the things we see are actually made of things that cannot be seen. (For those who like to look up Bible verses: Hebrews 11:3)
Are you trying to get to the bottom of it all find the meaning of life?
Look up. The answer has been there all along.
