We're headed to Coz Sept. 19. I understand that we're looking at about 84F water. What is the weather like that time of year? I'm especially wondering about the low tempatures, becuase I get cold ridiculously easily.

Thanks!

it isn't.

Hi JustJules,

Water temp should be 83-84 degrees, and it's very unlikely to be below 82. Coz really has no thermoclines.

Air temps should be daytime highs in mid to upper 80's & nighttime lows in mid-70's.

Modest thermal protection both u/w & at night should keep you comfortable.

Sep is the very beginning of rainy season, so there may be a few passing showers, mostly afternoon & evening, but it usually doesn't disrupt diving.

Now for the kicker--Sep is nearing peak tropical storm/hurricane season in the Gulf/Caribbean, and if one hits all bets are off.

Best of luck.

I appreciate the information. I can find current Cozumel weather data very easily, but general climate information isn't quite as easy to come by.

I do undersand about hurricane season. After living in Florida for 25 years, I know that they do what they want and the rest of us just need to tune into the Weather Channel. :)

It is peak hurricane season but I leave tomorrow for a week.:) Have been caught in a hurricane there before but am still going back. Who are you diving with?:snorkel:
